Valentine’s Day. No matter what your feelings about the day of love, we can all agree that going out to a traditional meal kind of sucks. Almost any other night, I welcome a dinner date with my husband, but it is simply a pain to fight the crowds for a timely reservation. So, whether you’re celebrating your relationship, your gal pals, or your fierce independence; why not consider something a little more…bloody… this holiday? Here are two HAUNTED Valentine’s events in Central Florida (well, Central Florida-ish)!
Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail

Located in Plant City and conveniently situated just off of I-4, Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail is one of my FAVORITE Florida haunts! The stories are original. The sets are detailed. The trails are long, and there are THREE of them!
Here’s a look at the stories you’ll enjoy this year!
The Kissing Tree

If you attended their 2020 Halloween event, you’ll remember The Candy Tree and shadow creature named Kane. From Sir Henry’s website:
“Many moons later the candy tree was slowly forgotten. Until one day a rumor was heard that if you kiss someone by this tree and it’s your true love you will have true love forever. But if it’s not your true love the creature Kane will appear and devour you. Kane is not happy that he has been forgotten once again. And this time his anger spawns shadows of Kane, creatures that spread throughout the village and woods terrorizing couples.”
Collector of Hearts

Another continuation of their 2020 Halloween event, human puppet maker (yes, that’s exactly what you’re thinking) Poppy has become overly consumed with her creations. Their website says,
“Poppy’s distraction with her new puppets, pushes one of her main henchmen, the collector, to secretly harvest the hearts of victims in order to give life to Poppy’s puppets. Feeling the loss of Poppy’s love, he hopes that one day one of the puppets may fall in love with him when he fills them with a beating heart. Will you fall victim to the collector as he searches for the perfect heart for his puppet?”
Weeping Roses

And finally, what sounds like it will be the most gruesome of them all:
“Hard times make people do crazy things. And Mrs. Green is no stranger to hard times. After losing her flower shop business, many say she went mad. Her garden and flowers were her whole life. So she decided to take revenge on those in the town who never supported her business. The grounds where she grew her flowers has turned into a bloody arrangement of body parts. Her gardeners assist her on her path of torment and the town is overrun by the madness of Mrs. Green. No one, not even her husband, is safe from her wrath.”
Whether or not you’ve experienced Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail in the past, I highly recommend this haunt. I had a great time at both their 2019 and 2020 Halloween events, and I have high expectations for their Valentine’s trails as well. Buy your ticket today as capacity is limited for safety purposes.
