For the second year, Universal Orlando will have a Tribute Store for its Mardi Gras event! While the store doesn’t officially open until tomorrow, we got to enjoy a special Annual Passholder Preview a day early! There’s so much to see in this incredibly detailed and themed retail venue. Let’s take a look!
Universal Mardi Gras Tribute Store Facade

Enter the Tribute Store through the Royal Street Jazz Preservation Hall. This is one of the most detailed facades I’ve seen for a Tribute Store.
Bolden Hall
As you enter the Tribute Store, you’ll be inside the Jazz Hall – passing through a “coat check” area to enter the main performance venue. Onstage, you’ll find abandoned equipment for the appropriately named band, The Tributes.

Jardin Aux Marins Perdus En Mer
Moving onto the second room, you’ll find yourself in a traditional New Orleans graveyard with above ground mausoleums and overhanging trees.

My favorite detail in the whole store was the Mardi Gras beads stuck in the tree’s branches!

Ship’s Underbelly
In this room, you’ll enter the interior of a pirate ship! Complete with creaking sounds and waves, this room was super immersive.

Barataria Bayou
Just like the Holiday Tribute Store, Mardi Gras’ version ends with another food hall area. And, of course, you can’t celebrate Mardi Gras without a trip to the Bayou! This room is beautiful, with hanging Spanish moss and lots of swamp sound effects.

There’s also some gummy skulls with moving jaws.

Universal Mardi Gras Tribute Store Exit
Before you exit the Universal Mardi Gras Tribute Store, get ready for one last pirate tag!

Jardin Aux Marins Perdus En Mer translates to Garden of the sailors lost at sea.
Also, the andouille sausage sold in the tribute store is fantastic!
