Beginning March 3, visit Walt Disney World for the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. While some aspects of the event may not operate this year due to the ongoing pandemic, we will still get to enjoy many of the traditional offerings. Let’s take a look:
Character Topiaries
Just like years past, Epcot will be filled with beautiful topiaries depicting favorite Disney characters – including Lady and the Tramp in Italy and Sorcerer Mickey at the park’s entrance.
Enchanted Gardens
Scattered throughout Future World and the World Showcase, you’ll find 20 unique gardens. Some of the highlights include a floating garden in Future World and a bamboo garden in China.
Goodness Garden Butterfly House
The butterfly house will return! In this special area, kids and adults can get up close to a variety of butterflies.
Live Entertainment
You’ll find plenty of live entertainment including the Voices of Liberty, Mariachi Cobre, Jammin’ Gardeners, and the EPCOT pianist. Disney will release a more detailed schedule at a later date.

Outdoor Kitchens
Just like Food & Wine/Festival of the Arts, the Flower & Garden Festival will feature a variety of outdoor stands offering specialty food and beverage. We haven’t seen any menus yet, but we’re hoping to find the return of frushi – fruit sushi with strawberries, cantaloupe, and pineapple!
Scavenger Hunts
The festival will offer two family scavenger hunts (for a fee). Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration will take families on a quest through the various gardens. Once you’ve visited all the necessary spots and completed your purchased map, you’ll earn a prize! In the Easter-themed Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt (available March 19-April 4) families will find Disney characters hiding their oversized eggs throughout the World Showcase.
Health Full Trail
I didn’t recognize this name, and the Disney Parks Blog’s description wasn’t very helpful. In the end, I had to “Google it” to tell you what this offering entails. Apparently, the Health Full Trail is the official name for the annual playground near the Imagination walkway. I’m surprised Disney is planning on including such a hands-on experience in this year’s festival. I am sure the equipment will be regularly sanitized…but still….
Taste of Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Merchandise
Of course, you can expect lots of Festival merchandise with favorite Disney characters like Figment and the Orange Bird.
Taste of Flower & Garden Festival will run from March 3 – July 5. Park admission and a valid reservation are required to enter!
