Weekends and select dates from January 16-February 16, guests can enjoy a socially-distanced Mardi Gras celebration at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. All festivities will take place outdoors, following the park guidelines already in place (face coverings, temperature checks, etc.) Here’s a look at what you can expect when you salute Fat Tuesday!
Busch Gardens’ Mardi Gras Entertainment
Roaming street performers will provide jazzy tunes and colorful beads for guests to enjoy. By walking through the park instead of adhering to specific staging areas, performers will discourage crowding and support effective social distancing.

Treats From The Bayou
Enjoy authentic Cajun dishes, such as jambalaya (including an option made with Impossible -vegan- meat!), shrimp po’boy, and classic beignets. Starting at $34.99 for five punches (discounts and special options available for Pass Holders), purchase a Sampler Lanyard to try a variety of dishes. If you’re thirsty, grab a New Orleans style Hurricane or specialty Mardi Gras coffee – including Cinnamon-spiced or Bourbon and Cream.

Other Upcoming Events
Busch Gardens confirmed two additional events coming in 2021:
Sesame Street Kids Weekend January 30-February 14: Featuring socially-distanced character experiences and performances, kids can celebrate Elmo’s birthday and Valentine’s Day with the Sesame Street gang!
Food & Wine Festival February 20 – April 25: With a variety of tasty food and beverages to sample, guests can feast while enjoying local musical talent in an open air environment.
Of course, both festivals will include traditional Busch Gardens fun like exciting roller coasters and amazing animal exhibits. Additional details to follow.

I loved Busch Gardens as a kid! I wonder if I could convince my husband to take a last-minute family vacation for Mardi Gras 🙂
