After moving to Winter Garden in 2016, Jeff and Danielle Perera began searching for the perfect bagel. Unfortunately, as most Floridians know, finding an amazing morning bagel is nearly impossible in the Central and Northern portions of the state. So, Jeff and Danielle did the only sensible thing, they took control and learned how to make their own fresh, breakfast treats. After years of persistence and practice, Jeff’s Bagel Run was born!
How Does It Work?
Jeff’s Bagel Run does not currently have a physical location. Instead you can either order your bagels online or wait for a pop-up event.
For online orders, inventory is listed on the website at 7pm each Sunday evening. Select an available order date, flavor (You CAN mix and match!) and quantity (6 or 12). Orders over $17 are eligible for delivery. All others will need to be picked up.
Jeff’s Bagel Run’s flavor selection includes:
Plain
Everything
Asiago
Asiago Everything
Cinnamon Raisin
Salt
Cacio e pepe
Sesame
Onion
Garlic
Poppy

My Experience
I chose to wait for a local pop-up event to experience Jeff’s bagels. Luckily, I was able to find a morning option at one of my favorite local spots, Axum Coffee.

I found out about the event by following their Instagram account. I arrived only a few minutes after the pop-up began, but there was still a pretty sizable (socially-distanced) line. Jeff’s Bagel Run has quite the following even after just a year+ in business!

Once arriving inside, you could choose from a selection of their bagel flavors as well as pop tarts and t-shirts.
I ordered one sesame seed and one everything bagel. I would have ordered a pop tart for my husband, but they were so popular they had already run out for the day!
After receiving my bagels, I ordered a coffee from Axum and headed outside to enjoy my breakfast!

Freaky Thoughts
I don’t consider myself a bagel person, but these were amazing! They were soft with a defined crispness on the outside that was just delightful. When I do enjoy a bagel, I generally drown them in cream cheese, lox, and vegetables. I didn’t have to do this with Jeff’s Bagel Run. I ate my bagel plain! It needed nothing – no butter, no cheese, no toppings at all. It was that delicious!
I can’t wait to try more flavors from Jeff’s Bagel Run! To order your own bagels or find out about their next event, follow their Instagram or like their Facebook page.
