Presented by the creators of Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail, The Christmas Trail is a Winter Wonderland for the whole family! With several unique attractions to explore and ticket pricing per carload (instead of per person), The Christmas Trail is a pretty amazing value. Let’s take a look at all the awesome holiday fun that waits for you in Plant City!

Attractions
Tales of Christmas
Tales of Christmas is a lighted walking trail with TONS of Christmas decorations. Along the path, you’ll find a variety of different terrains, including “indoor” sets and outdoor, wooded areas. This is a pretty sizable attraction/experience as it took us about 15 minutes to walk all the way through it.

If you’re familiar with Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail, you’ll recognize these paths and set pieces from the Halloween event. It’s a big treat to see them all dressed up for the holidays!
Walk to Bethlem
This attraction features a lighted maze with various silhouetted, Biblical figures traveling to see the Baby Jesus.

While it only takes a few minutes, this is a very peaceful walk to the final nativity scene. Those wishing to celebrate the season from a more religious perspective will appreciate this attraction.

The Jack Frost Ice Show
This is a short (but pretty cute) show about Jack Frost fighting off a misguided South Pole elf and returning his ice palace to its frozen glory. Kids will enjoy the adorable characters and the fairly intense snowfall that occurs during the finale!

The Jack Frost Ice Show occurs every 30 minutes, so there’s plenty of opportunity to catch the performance. On crowded nights, however, I recommend waiting outside the theater in advance of your chosen showing. Especially with the enforcement of social distancing, the audience area fills up quickly!
Know ahead of time that there are loud sounds and fireworks included in this presentation. If a member of your party is sensitive to either volume or sudden noises, you might want to skip this performance.
The Jack Frost Throne Room
After watching the Jack Frost show, visit the throne room for a unique photo opportunity!

Set inside a frozen cave, you and your family can snap a few keepsake pictures on these wintery thrones!

Naughty or Nice Escape Room
Jack Frost has been moved to the naughty list by that pesky South Pole elf. It’s your job to fix it! In this two minute game, you’ll solve several clues to make sure Jack gets back on the nice list in time to receive his gifts on Christmas morning.
For the 2020 event, this game is included in your ticket price.

The Santa Claus Experience
While virtually every holiday event has their version of a meet and greet area for pictures with Santa, The Christmas Trail offers something just a little more special.

Instead of standing in a simple queue for a quick snapshot with the St. Nick, guests will travel to the North Pole through a beautiful pathway adorned with festive decorations and lights. Fans of Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail will once again enjoy seeing these beloved locations dressed up for the Christmas holiday.

Once you arrive at the North Pole, you’ll meet Santa and Mrs. Claus! This year, the couple will be available for socially-distanced pictures and selfies with guests. You won’t be able to get too close to them, but you’ll be within talking distance if you want to tell Santa what you’re hoping to find under the tree on Christmas morning!

Dancing Christmas Tree
Periodically throughout the evening, this beautiful centerpiece will dance to familiar Christmas tunes. It’s a festive way to celebrate the season and take a break between attractions.

Live Entertainment
In addition to the trails and shows, you can enjoy live entertainment in the central area of the event. Walk-around characters are available throughout the evening to interact with guests and take photographs.

Or you might see another talented performance – like this puppet show! Throughout our visit, an awesome puppeteer used a variety of characters to serenade guests with beloved Christmas classics.

Crafts and Vendors
If you have an artist in your group, they’ll enjoy the craft station available near the entrance of the event. During my visit, guests could paint their own ornament for $6 each. There were a plethora of ornaments from which to choose and plenty of available workspace.
Ticketing
For the 2020 event, admission is priced per vehicle. Prices are as follows:
- $15 per vehicle (holding up to 8 people)
- $25 per passenger van (holding 8-15 people)
Due to capacity restrictions and social distancing concerns, you must purchase your ticket BEFORE arriving to the event property!
New Year’s Eve
The Christmas Trail will host its very first New Year’s Eve event to celebrate the coming of 2021 (complete with food trucks and a DJ)! Tickets are $25 per car, and the event will run from 6-10pm. Reserve your spot now!
Freaky Thoughts
I thoroughly enjoyed this event. As a big fan of Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail, it was a huge treat to see these same areas serving a new purpose. The lights were beautiful, and I enjoyed walking through the winding trails to take in all the festive decor.
As a mother, I also appreciate the “per vehicle” pricing structure for The Christmas Trail’s 2020 event. As every parent knows, individual ticket prices add up quickly – even when some of those passes are priced for children. Pricing the event per car allows families of all sizes (within reason) to enjoy a festive holiday celebration without breaking the bank. I would definitely recommend The Christmas Trail for families and friend groups.
