Here’s another haunt for your scary to-do list: A Petrified Forest in Altamonte Springs! This haunt is completely outdoors. In the past, A Petrified Forest has had multiple trails with changing annual themes. While the haunt has also offered a yearly “Eclipse Night” where guests must travel with only a glow stick to light their path – there’s currently no indication of this offering for 2020.
Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail Provides High Quality and Socially-Distant Scares!
Based on the event’s Facebook page, this year’s theme will be “13 Years of Fears” – celebrating a momentous anniversary in the Halloween world. There will be a total of three trails, but we don’t know yet what kind of creatures those trails might hold. Beginning October 15, A Petrified Forest will be offered on select nights. For the first time, the haunt will featured timed tickets to control capacity and guest exposure. As can be expected for 2020 Halloween events, guests will be pulsed through the house with only their party.
Both cast and guests will be encouraged to stay home if they aren’t feeling well, and guests will be offered refunds or rescheduling rights if they aren’t able to make their purchased ticket date due to sickness. Additionally, social distancing will be enforced within the “Front Yard” waiting area. You can read more about their COVID-19 precautions here.
Personally, I’ve loved this event in the past, and I am so thrilled to see it return. This haunt has consistently offered high quality scares and effects, and I’m excited to see what they’ve planned for 2020!
Update:
Trails include Curious Carnival, The Dark Forest, and Camp Carver.
