December 11-13, 2020, Orlando Fringe presents A Fringemas Carol: A Live Socially Distanced Dickens-Inspired Theatrical Journey. This pandemic-friendly production will take small groups of no more than 25 people through a variety of stationary scenes to tell a 60-minute version of Ebenezer Scrooge’s classic tale. Groups will be escorted through the scenes by holiday carolers and Scrooge himself, walking along sidewalks to ensure maximum accessibility.
The scenes will feature a variety of genres and artistic styles, told through the eyes of five local artist groups. Executive Director, Alauna Friskics said: “This event is truly unique. This pandemic has forced the entire arts community to get creative in how and where we present great theatre. This is a challenging and exciting take on a classic tale, and audiences are going to really have fun.”
