Nestled away in downtown Winter Garden, you can find a unique, casual eatery offering specialty hot dogs with a wide variety of toppings. Harrell’s Hot Dogs + Cold Cones is a relatively new addition to the downtown scene, but it’s certainly a welcome one!

When you walk into Harrell’s, you’re first greeted with an extensive toppings bar offering a wide array of vegetables, cheeses, and other surprise options. Each hot dog comes with a choice of three toppings and a sauce. Sauces include delicious options like Chunky Buffy Blue, Lemon Garlic Mustard, and Truffle Aioli. ​

Speaking of hot dogs, there are several options to fit several dietary needs. You can order a traditional, all-beef dog, a chicken dog (grilled or fried), or vegan dog – which is pretty darn amazing. If that’s not enough, you can customize your bun option by ordering a spinach, poppy seed, or even an arugula bun.

I ordered the vegan dog on a poppy seed bun. I chose coleslaw, peppers, and relish for my toppings and the lemon garlic mustard for my sauce. It was absolutely delicious!

My daughter ordered a standard hot dog with tomato and cheese. My son doesn’t always enjoy hot dogs, so he ordered a large side of their macaroni and cheese. WOW! I wasn’t expecting to find such amazing macaroni at a hot dog place. We all LOVED it! ​

Of course, after our delicious meal, we had to top it off with dessert – ice cream! Harrell’s offers classic chocolate, vanilla, or swirl soft serve. You can get it in a cup or cone. It was a special throwback to childhood and super tasty!

My kids and I really enjoyed our meal at Harrell’s. Next time you’re in Downtown Winter Garden, I highly recommend it for a quick, casual lunch!
