If you’re one of the thousands grieving the cancellation of Halloween Horror Nights this year, you may have already trekked down to Universal Studios to see the famed Tribute Store. After Universal’s announcement last month, they still decided to open the store for Halloween fans. It’s a great way for Horror Nights people to get a taste of their favorite event (and not a bad way for Universal to pay off some bills either).

Until yesterday, the store had two rooms. One was a Frankenstein room with the featured monster waiting to come to life.

The other was a tribute to all former Horror Nights icons, but mostly Jack…

Yesterday morning, Universal opened the store’s third room – an appropriate tribute to Beetlejuice (especially since he was rumored to have his own haunted house as part of the event).

The room is incredibly themed, with lots of set pieces and scenes. fans might recognize from the movie.

Beyond the larger scenes, the room also features lots of tiny details to “flesh out” the story.
Universal’s added a snack counter with “spooky” selections!

The theming even extends to the cashier area!

And don’t get too sad when it’s time to leave! You’ll exit through the Netherworld waiting room.

While we won’t get to enjoy the full event this year, Universal has certainly provided a nice taste of the fear. In the meantime, we can keep daydreaming about 2021!
