Halloween Horror Nights 30 at Universal Studios Orlando is only 30 weeks away! With that said, I believe now is the best time to get the hype train rolling with some new speculation on what will come to this year’s event. SPOILER ALERT: This Horror Nights is going to be SO MUCH FUN!
Rumored Haunted Houses
Horror Night Nightmares specializes in creating speculation maps for both of the Halloween Horror Night events (Hollywood’s and Orlando’s). Usually their maps are on point, with only a few minor differences from the actual lineup. Today we are going to be looking at their latest speculation map for Horror Nights 30, Version 3.5!
Here is Version 3.5 of the Horror Night Nightmares’ speculation map for Horror Nights 30 in Orlando.

A. Universal Monsters: The Brides
With the success of the Universal Monsters house from Horror Nights 29, it seems pretty obvious why they are making a sequel. The various brides in that house were all universally praised, with most people saying they got the biggest scares. Therefore, it’s no wonder this house is dedicated to them (even though I suspect we will see the other monsters show up at some point). Most of the houses on this list don’t have any other information than their respective titles, but this is one of the rare exceptions that does. The following rumored plot comes from HHHNRumors on Twitter.
“Frankenstein’s Bride is attempting to bring the monsters back to life with Dracula’s Bride’s blood”- HHNRumors on Twitter.
This is one of my most anticipated houses. I ADORED the Universal Monsters house from Horror Nights 29 and can’t wait to see what else they come up with regarding this property. What excites me even more than the last one is that this house is rumored to have a really interesting story that is going to be told inside of the house, something that the previous one lacked. The Brides are finally gonna get their chance to shine in Horror Nights.
B. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
This Horror Nights speculation may be a surprise, but it’s a welcome one. This property is perfect for social distancing, considering the scares are mostly going to be coming from objects, the most notable being chainsaws, that can be held away from the scare actor’s faces. In addition, it’s one of the most well known horror movie properties to date. We still don’t know which movie it’s going to be based on (orignal, sequels, or remakes), but I put all my trust into the creative team to make something breathtaking.
C. Bedtime Stories: The Tooth Fairy
Now this is very interesting. The very concept of the tooth fairy was always frightening to begin with. She takes your teeth and pays you cash? Where do the teeth go? Why does she want the teeth? Why is her main purpose in life collecting children’s teeth? So many frightening questions that are going to be met with equally frightening answers. Rumor has it that this was supposed to be in the lineup for Horror Nights 29, but it was instead replaced with Us. I can’t wait to see where this house takes us!
D. Horror Nights Icons
Of course this was going to be a house! It’s the 30th year, which means it’s the perfect time to dig deep into their past. As a Horror Nights newcomer, I never got the chance to see the icons in action. This house will not only give people who have been going to the event for years nostalgic feelings, but also will open a door for new guests to appreciate the chapters that helped make the event what it is today!
E. Anniversary House
If you guys don’t know what an anniversary house is, it’s essentially a house filled with scenes from houses of the event’s past. HHNRumors on Twitter has some… well rumors… on what some of the houses will be!
“30 years house will have Cindy/Orfanage & Depths”- HHNRumors on Twitter.
If the rumor is true and Depths of Fear is actually represented in this house, I will be ecstatic! It was my favorite original of Horror Nights 29, and I just can’t wait to see those “fishy bois” again.
F. Pumpkin Original
This is going to be the cheapest house for Horror Nights to make, but that won’t affect the quality of it whatsoever. The reason it’s gonna be less expensive than others is that they already have tons of pumpkin themed items from years past, such as pretty much everything from the scare zone Twisted Tradition that appeared during Horror Nights 28. Speaking of that scare zone, rumors are that the house will be based on it! While nothings certain, HorrorNightsORL did recently tweet out this…

Who knows? It could’ve just been a coincidence. A very conveniently timed coincidence.
G. Mannequin Theater
I’m calling it now, this is going to be the most frightening house of Horror Nights 30. Scenes with mannequins and real people in the same area (such as the final rooms of Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Us) always get the most consistent scares in Horror Nights houses. This house is going to be a gold mine, but instead of gold it’s just gonna be your screams!
H. The Haunting of Hill House
Even though I haven’t watched this show, I have heard very good things about it. It makes sense that this property is gonna show up at the event since Netflix has a good history with Horror Nights. Even though the new Stranger Things season isn’t out, Netflix still wanted some representation in some form or another. This was their best bet. I can’t wait to binge this whole show, but until then I will be utterly clueless whether or not this makes for a good haunted house.
I. Beetlejuice
Do I even need to explain why this is one of the best properties to come to Horror Nights in recent history? It’s the perfect comedy house, with a fantastic blend of jokes and scares. No matter what age you are, you can’t resist the aura of pure joy that radiates from Michael Keaton’s performance. I hope you’re ready, because when the gates open for this year’s event…IT’S SHOWTIME!
J. Billie Eilish
Not sure what to think about this one. I dislike her music but the imagery that goes into her music videos can only be described as “haunted”. The imagery alone is perfect for a haunted house, so I’m definitely curious on what the final product will be. Will it be known as a must do or the “bad guy” of the event? Only time will tell.
Rumored Scare Zones
O. Creepshow
As you can plainly see, we have skipped some letters. That’s just because no other scae zones have been put on the speculation map at this point in time. In regards to Creepshow, this seems like a perfect fit given what scare zones are probably going to be like this year. The film is an anthology, meaning it is filled with multiple short films that have no connection with one another (aside from them all being in the same comic book). This could work great with multiple mini-shows that would each play a different story from the film. It’s absolutely perfect for social distancing, and the comic book vibe it’s most likely going to give off is (hopefully) going to be extremely silly and fun.
Rumored Shows
S1. Academy of Villains
This show usually takes place in the Fear Factor Live stadium, but given social distancing and the difficulty it would be to enforce mask wearing in there, I don’t see it being put in that location. Instead, I see it possibly becoming a street show like it was originally, but that also raises problems as well (such as people gathering together in one area). What happens with this show is something none of us will be able to figure out until it’s announced, but as of now it’s still happening.
S2. Lagoon Show
Given the popularity of last year’s lagoon show, Marathon of Mayhem, it was inevitable that we were going to receive one this year. Now this show is a lot easier to regulate, given it’s located in a specific area of the park that isn’t surrounded by other people. Here, police officers would be able to enforce mask usage and make sure people follow the social distancing guidelines (like standing on the 6ft stickers). With that said, I’m almost certain this show will come back in some fashion.
The big question now is how is Horror Nights going to be safe for its customers and team members? That is a question that will be answered in my next blog!
Stay safe out there guys,
