Today in Icon Park, Blake Shelton opens the fourth location for his concert venue/southern restaurant, Ole Red. Named for one of Shelton’s popular songs, this venue offers a full bar, live country music, and a Nashville-inspired menu.
Since the restaurant is opening during a pandemic, they’ll start with a limited menu and smaller musical acts to discourage crowding. Even on a restricted scale, the menu features multiple southern favorites such as Fried Pickles and Green Tomatoes, Nashville Hot Chicken, and Honey-Drizzled Skillet Cornbread. Ole Red accommodates multiple dietary restrictions with gluten free burger buns and vegan substitutions. Of course, they offer a variety of beverages include Florida-brewed draft beers, wines, mixed drinks, and mocktails for those unable to partake in alcohol.
While it may take awhile for Ole Red to see the influx of tourists an ICON park restaurant can usually expect, it will certainly provide a great venue for locals. A little country music and comfort food will be a welcome distraction from pandemic life worries.
