The Bourne Stuntacular is slowly taking shape at Universal Studios! Over the last few months, we’ve seen the construction walls come down and new signage appear. Now, you can see official Bourne merchandise inside a renovated gift shop on Hollywood Blvd.
2-4-1 Review! A Conversation About Universal’s Bourne Stuntacular
Serving as the exit for both the Horror Make-Up Show and Bourne Stuntacular, this newly designed store features swag from both attractions. For Horror Make-Up Show audiences, Universal is basically reusing everything that didn’t sell in the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store.

Honestly, the current Bourne merchandise is pretty boring. They have a bunch of generic items, such as water bottles, coffee mugs, and various t-shirts, adorned with the Stuntacular logo. Now, it’s possible this decision is quite purposeful. They don’t want the merchandise selection to give away any details of the attraction before it’s opened. Instead, however, you have a bunch of pointless “conference-type” swag pretty much anyone could print themselves. For Orlando residents, it’s novel only because it points to something new. For regular day guests this merchandise is, at best, a tease and at worst, wasted space that could have held actually meaningful souvenirs.
Of course, we do know that this store will act as the exit for the Bourne Stuntacular attraction. While no opening date has been set, rehearsals have already begun. Universal has taken precautions to shield its new show from the prying eyes and ears of guests and bloggers. In the picture below, you can see a black curtain and team member keeping guests away from the exit doors. However, a few feet of space can only dampen the sound so much. While browsing the merchandise, I was able to hear ominous music and loud gun shot effects coming from the theater.

While the current merchandise is underwhelming, it is an encouraging sign that the Bourne Stuntacular will open this spring as promised. No specific date has yet been announced, and I’m not confident it will be any time soon. Sources tell me that, while rehearsals have begun, no operations training has been announced. The opening operations team has no idea when training might begin or the attraction might open. Based on that information, I’d say we’re still at least a few weeks away from an announcement.
