Now at Animal Kingdom, celebrate the holiday season with a slew of wintry animal puppets and puppeteers. Every day at Discovery Island, guests can take pictures and interact with these beautiful animals! While the puppets will be welcoming guests most of the daylight hours, they go home at different times depending on the day – so make sure to double check their schedule with a cast member.
Celebrate Soulfully at Walt Disney World
Upon entering the Discovery Island area, it’s hard to miss the festive puppets and lively puppeteer actors controlling them. Each day, there are at least two groups of puppets that alternate “sets.” Each group contains different animals, so if you see a polar bear or penguin that you just have to take a picture with make sure you do so when you have the chance. The next time you travel through Discovery Island it might be a different group of animals. On a similar note, if you enter the island and notice there are no puppets available – just be patient. There’s a 10-15 minute delay between one group and the next when they are switching sets.
