Since June, SeaWorld Orlando has been teasing fans and coaster enthusiasts with its “until now untitled” ride coming to the Wild Arctic area of the park. Today we learned some additional details about the ride and its track, including its name – Ice Breaker! To see what we previously knew about this attraction, read our first post here.

Ice Breaker will be a more intermediate, family friendly coaster than its larger SeaWorld counterparts with a height restriction of only 48″. But don’t let a lower height restriction fool you! This coaster will still contain plenty of thrills on its 2,750 feet of track (or 90 second ride)! After leaving the load area, riders will encounter a lateral track switch before being launched back and forth a total of four times before finally reaching the ride’s top speed at 52 mph!
Another unique aspect of the track is that much of the ride will occur only a few feet above the ground, creating an illusion of traveling at even higher speed. As promised, of course, the track will include some heights including a 93 foot spike and an 80 foot top hat element.
SeaWorld also announced a new coaster coming to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Iron Gwazi! This will be a hybrid coaster using a steel track on wooden supports. Iron Gwazi will be inspired by a well-known Florida animal, the alligator
And that’s not all! Each of the Florida waterparks will be receiving exciting additions as well. Riptide Race will open at Aquatica in Orlando, and Tampa Bay’s Adventure Island will receive Solar Vortex.
