In April, Disney announced a brand new experience coming to the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – a Beauty and the Beast themed lounge area to replace Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s on the second floor of the lobby. The bar will include four distinct areas, all inspired by the live action movie. A grand chandelier over a central bar will evoke images of Belle’s flowing ballgown, and a library adorned with baroque and French designs will contain small reminders of Belle, Beast, and their friends. In the garden room, guests will find themselves surrounded by sights reminiscent of the enchanted forest surrounding the castle, and finally, outdoor patio seating will take its inspiration from the Beast’s terrace.
This week, Disney released more details including the name, a sneak-peek of the menu and hint of expected opening date. Enchanted Rose will open in the fall of this year with a menu including sharable appetizers and specialty alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.
The food options will include something for everyone. You could munch on an artisanal cheese plate with pine nut bread and raisins or order the Mini Smoked Short Rib Sliders with glacier blue cheese and onion marmalade on brioche buns. If you prefer seafood, there’s the Octopus a la Plancha with black olives, blistered tomatoes, and fingerling potatoes; or the Crab and Gnocchi Gratin. Enchanted Rose will also serve more traditional offerings like truffle fries and flatbread pizzas.

Specialty drinks will include the Island Rose with grapefruit and rose vodka, lime, orgeat, pineapple, bitters, and rose water; the Lavender Fog with dry gin, creme de violette, English breakfast tea, vanilla, and cream; and the Garden Daisy with tequila, midori, lime, egg white, and cucumber. Of course, there will also be an available selection of beers, wines, ciders, and spirits.

Enchanted Rose will also offer a variety of nonalcoholic specialty beverages. The Garden Cocktail will include a non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, agave nectar, and soda. The B&B will be made with iced tea, lemon, blueberry, and basil; and if you order the Rosemary Cooler you’ll be drinking Odwalla lemonade, vanilla, and rosemary.

With Grand Floridian’s other princess experiences, such as the 1900 Park Fare character dining and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, this is the perfect location for a lounge like Enchanted Rose. I can’t wait to explore all four themed areas and to sample the Octopus a la Plancha! What are you going to order?
