D23 is barely underway and we’re already getting some exciting news! EPCOT’s future world is undergoing some major renovations, and we have more details about the Star Wars hotel coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Star Wars Hotel: The Galactic Star Cruiser, Halcyon
While we already knew a Star Wars themed hotel was coming to Walt Disney World, we learned more details about this exclusive experience. Guests will board a starcruiser called as the Halcyon. This ship is known for its “impeccable service and exotic destinations.” Guests will check in for a two-day stay where they will be completely immersed within the Star Wars story. Guests will even schedule an off- ship excursion to the Black Spire outpost on the planet of Batuu, and they will be able to disembark and reboard the ship without interrupting their experience.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, Coming to EPCOT
The first Moana-inspiried attraction to hit the parks, EPCOT will soon debut an interactive water trail called the Journey of Water. Not many details were announced, but the concept art seems to suggest a jungle trail with several, child-friendly water features. No opening date has been announced yet.
The Epcot Experience Opens October 1
Within the Odyssey Pavilion, guests will soon be able to experience engaging demonstrations previewing EPCOT’s many changes. We’ve seen pavilions like this before for upcoming theme parks or attractions in different parts of the world. It will be exciting to be able to get an even more detailed view of what’s to come for this awesome theme park.
