Decoded Deep Dive: The Escape Effect

I have played several escape rooms across multiple attractions, but The Escape Effect truly stands out from the rest. For example, most other escape room attraction games are one hour at the most. The Escape Effect offers hour long experiences in addition to 75, 90, and even 120 minute games! 

As previously mentioned, The Escape Effect is independently owned by a local husband and wife team. Because they are an independent team, all of the games at The Escape Effect are original and unique. Many of the props are handmade, and you can certainly feel the personalized touch and care put into the creation of these games. With that being said, the crafted nature of the some of the sets means that, at times, the rooms don’t feel as polished as they would in another, larger company, but what the rooms lack in polish they make up in creativity. 

Another note about their games, The Escape Effect does a great job at varying the tasks and skills necessary to complete the puzzles. No matter the talents of your team members, everyone will be able to find a puzzle they can help solve. Additionally, many puzzles are designed to be solved simultaneously so that different team members can be working on different parts of the room. 

If you enjoy escape games, you should definitely check out The Escape Effect. You’ll find friendly service, a clean environment, and great games. I’ve played Sherlock Studies and A Knight To Escape. They were both excellent experiences and different than any other type of escape room I’ve tried. I definitely recommend this attraction for both locals and tourists! 

Special Tips: 

• Arrive a few minutes before your start time so your game can begin promptly! 
• You may be paired with other people if your party is not large enough to fill the room. If you’re interested in a private game, call ahead of time to reserve the space. 
• The Escape Effect is located in a shopping center with other attractions, shops, and restaurants. You will often get a discount at these other locations by playing an escape game, so keep that in mind when planning your day!
