Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion: Gatlinburg’s Most Terrifying Haunted Attraction

Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion

We recently took a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a vacation. We had one thing on our agenda to do for sure and that was Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion. We were in Gatlinburg last year when we found out about the Mysterious Mansion. Unfortunately a large snow storm hit and closed during the time we were there. The Mansion is open all year-round but days and times vary which we will explain in the article. We did make it through this time and we were blown away…

A little history about the Mysterious Mansion. The Mysterious Mansion was built in 1980 and is family owned and operated. The Mansion is designed to look that of a early 1900’s Victorian style. The mansion did go through some renovations a few years back to give even more of that old creepy feeling. Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion started out as a spooky fun house but has evolved into Gatlinburg’s oldest and scariest haunted house.

Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion Lobby

Walking up to the Mysterious Mansion is creepy enough but when you step inside the lobby you start to wonder if you will make it out alive. The lobby looks and feels like you would expect an old haunted mansion to be. It was dark, lights flickering, cobwebs everywhere, and the music just creepy. In the lobby there was a cabinet which had merchandise available for purchase if you make it out alive.

Three Floors of Spookiness

Gatlniburg’s Mysterious Mansion is unique in that it has 3 floors of terror to explore. After you make your way from the lobby into the first room to await instructions you are on your own. You must make your way through the three story mansion heading through multiple rooms and spaces some which are very dark and narrow. The cool aspect is you have to find the doors and such to exit the rooms all while trying to escape the monsters. They won’t touch you so need to worry about that. We jumped so many times it was great and a lot of fun.

Mysterious Monster
